Safelist Submitter Overview

If you are going to utilise the power of Safelist marketing, then you will need to automate the process as far as possible. Some Safelists do not lend themselves to automation, so you need a different strategy for these. I will go into that later.

However, for the majority, submitters are the only sensible way to go.

There seems to be a movement towards the rental of the software to submit Safelists, by virtue of a monthly fee. Whilst I can understand why developers might want to do this (it makes them more money of course), you always have to remember that YOU are running a business, and certainly one element of the business that you are running that you need to keep on top of, is the costs. Why rent when you can buy outright? There are exceptions, which I will go into, but in general, I advise buying the software you use where possible.

I use three submitters. Why? Well, there are two main reasons.

1. Not all of the Safelists that you join will work in all of your submitters. This is usually just a quirk of the software and the Safelist script. But, because you want to try and automate everything as much as possible, you should have some backup submitters so that if a list won't work in one, it might work in another.
2. Despite the fact that I advocate buying rather then renting submitters, there is one exception, called SafelistBoys. The main reason is that it is ridiculously cheap, so it is very cost effective. It also makes life very easy when joining and testing lists, which is also a big plus in my book. The downside, and the second reason why you should have more than one submitter, is that the software needs to login to the SafelistBoys server in order to function. If you cannot access one for any reason, you must still try and send to your lists everyday.
