Spyder Hits

Spyder Hits is a tool developed by Bram Smith of Commission Spyder fame, to help you rack up hits easily.

You can download a copy from here with my compliments.

Installing Spyder Hits

The program is zipped up, and you will need to unzip the contents onto your hard drive in order to run it. (If you have a problem unzipping files, please see the section on WinZip).

Once you have unzipped the files to a location on your computer, I would advise setting up a short cut on your desktop, because you will be using this program on a regular basis.

To do this, please follow these steps

Starting Spyder Hits

Double click on the shortcut on your desktop, and the program will launch. You will see a screen similar to that shown below:-

Loading URL's

Click on the following icon

When you click on this icon, you will see the following dialog:-

Type in the name of the url that you want to surf, and then set the minimum and maximum delays. Some sites take longer to load then others, and some register a hit quicker then others. Using these fields, you can adjust for each url individually.

The max display in 24 hrs allows you to restrict how many hits any single url receives in a 24 hour period.

You can edit the link at any time by highlighting url in the list, clicking the Add url icon, and then creating a new version. Then delete the old one.

Removing URL's

Highlight the url that you wish to remove and then click on the following icon

That url will automatically be removed.

Testing URL's

To test a url, highlight it and click on the following icon.

A new browser window will be opened up with the site in it. It is an excellent way to test how that particular site operates.

When you set up Spyder Hits, you set up the maximum number of hits that Spyder Hits will record in a day. This button will allow you to set the count of hits to 0 again.

Using Spyder Hits

This program is an absolute God send. It creates hits for you whilst you are doing anything else, and if you are able to leave your computer running all night, then it will keep getting hits all night. There are a few things that you should understand before using it though.

1.	Spyder Hits has a facility to save its settings. You click on the standard <Save> button Spyder Hits saves the file as a 'urls' file. You can name this file anything you like, but please do not change the extension. You can collect a set of urls to run on every day of the week if you want, or maybe just one big list, it is up to you. Tip. Please remember to save your url's regularly after you add new ones or remove old ones. If you don't, Spyder Hits will not remember, and you will lose your changes.
2.	When you start up Spyder Hits, click on the open file icon. and navigate to where you 'urls' files are located. Highlight the one that you wish to load and click <OK>.
3.	Not all Surf for Hits programs will work with Spyder Hits. Some programs will not give you a hit credit unless you click on something first. These programs should not be discounted, because your prospects are actually more likely to see your web site with these type of programs, because they are forced to. Instead, I would set up a special Crazy Browser session for these types of programs, and make a habit of spending half an hour a day racking up some hits on them. You will be surprised how many hits you can make using this other excellent tool.
