To Mass Mail or Not to Mass Mail, That is the Question!

Welcome to the fifth part in this mini series on advertising for nothing, or next to nothing.

In this installment, we are investigating (legitimate) mass emailing.

We are in the realms of areas when you are going to have to start buying leads or lead capture services. However, these are not particularly expensive, and some are very cost effective ways of developing your business.

As I mentioned at the very start of this course, you are running a business, and in order for it to develop, you will have to start investing in yourself.

To date, we have covered the 'no cost' area of marking - both surf for credits and safelist adverting can be done for nothing.

We are in the realms of 'low cost' advertising. What I hope I can do though, is point you in the direction of lead sources that give you a good return, in respect of the quality of the leads as well as the possibilities for increased income growth and more tools.

With the use of a mini series like this one, it is possible to build your business up VERY effectively, without spending the earth.

Lead Sources

Lead sources come in two real flavours in my opinion, FFA leads and purchased (repeat mail) leads. The latter really means that you can re-use the leads as often as you want, and as long as the person that you are mailing doesn't object.

FFA Pages

I got into running FFA pages early on in my marketing career, and there is an expense involved. They do bring hits however, and my advice is that you purchase at least one FFA page, and then once you have established yourself, to start a few more of these off to add to your marketing clout. I can give you recommendations on the systems that have worked best for me, and for those with the most value.

I have identified some of the better FFA sources below, but before we get to that, you need to be aware of another tool that you will need.

Some of these FFA companies let you 'Set and Forget' their leads, which means that you can set them up to send your ads automatically, without and further effort on your part. This is a great feature. Not only from the perspective of saving time, but also from the point of trying and avoiding spurious SPAM complaints.

Not all are like that unfortunately.

So, you might need a mailer to send your ads.

I can recommend two.

The one that I use is without doubt the best on the market. It has huge capabilities, none less then its ability to suck in data from pretty much any text based source, which means that it can extract email addresses from any text report. This is especially valuable when no two sources provide their leads in exactly the same format.

World Cast Mailer

Auto FFA

This is a wonderful FFA system, which I promote on the back of Commission Spyder. It delivers 400-500 leads every day, and pays on several levels. How many levels? Well, they you decide, so you can create your own compensation plan. These people deliver good quality leads, 700-800 a day, and allow you to reverse market to the people who submit their ads. This means that in return for submitting an ad, they receive on ad from you. The owner allows you to send a fully formatted ad (which can also be HTML).

The cost is $19.95 a month, for between 200 - 500 leads a day, but the leads are good. The compensation plan is also good, and you can make an income from Auto FFA. My greatest income comes from promoting Commission Spyder and Auto FFA, so the two programs go hand in glove.

The Money-Hub or Pro Money Matrix

There we are with these programs again. It must appear in every section of this site! Suffice to say that it has a powerful FFA page (one in the free version, two in the pro version).

You can set up two different return emails, in test or HTML. It supplies up to 900 leads a day.

Ad Saturation

Ad Saturation is one of the best value adverting schemes that I have come across.

You get a Free For All page (FFA), which attracts visitors whom you can email. These systems are quite common, and in my experience, some of them work better then others. This one has consistently produced great results. Not only do you get personalised emails to send, you get bonus leads which are also good quality (this is the benefit of a good Ad Tracking system again). I have also had good results with the Ad Saturation paid advertising. The reason for this is that Ad Saturation PAYS to have your ads read.

It works.

My responses on these type of ads have always been good. It is the best priced and therefore best value system of its type that I have found. They offer a great deal if you pay annually too. It is very well priced.

And the icing on the cake?

Ad Saturation run an affiliate program which pays you to sell it. If it works for you, then you can earn by recommending it to other people.

Try it out and track the results. My results from Ad Saturation are first class in this genre.

Traffic-Wave

Traffic-Wave is a company that gives you a FFA page which generates unique leads for you.

Because they are unique, they are a little more expensive, around $17.95 a month. But, the quality of the leads are good and you will get good response from them. In addition, you get

And remember you can earn from it too.

The company is sound and they provide excellent marketing tools and advice. So I can recommend them.

Kiosk

This is an awesome system. These guys provide around 400 leads a day ($18.95 a month) from which you can earn a nice residual income. But you get an awful lot more.

Email Promoter

This program works a little differently, but it gets hits to your web site. It claims to give you 400,000 hit a year to your site, and judging by the hits I get from it, it works superbly.

It works by sending a message that you give it, to people who advertise to their network. I was a bit dubious about this at first, because I usually get much better results from programs that give you control over the delivery of the leads, which doesn't occur with Email Promoter. But, as usual, I tracked the results, and I was getting superb results.

You can set this one up and then leave it alone. It just keeps sending people to your web site.

Bill & Steve's World

Now this is a peach of a site!

Bill Hinkle and Steve Flossi are two highly respectable individuals in the network marketing industry. They are honest and will help you.

There's a lot of stuff to look over on their site, but the bottom line is this

You pay a one off $25 (worth it for the FFA pages alone), and you will this back and more in time.

ISO Register

You will be hard pressed to find a better deal then this anywhere ion the Internet. I have listed them because you get a FFA page which produces up to 1000 leads a day, but you get much, much more

Mainstream Lead Sources

Another good resource is the purchase of re-usable leads. The distinction to those leads used from FFA pages is that FFA leads can only be used once as a rule, and then they must be discarded. Leads purchased from other sources do have an advantage in that you can mail to them repeatedly.

Caution

You should always give people you an email the opportunity to remove their name from your list, no matter where it came from. If you find that leads from a particular source produce a lot of complaints? Well if that is the case, then I recommend that you stop using that source.

Tip

Keep your lead files, in the event you ever have a complaint about them. If you can prove that you obtained a lead from a source, and the leads were sold to you in good faith AND you have used those leads responsibly, then you shouldn't have any problems.

No-No's

Just one word of caution, regarding 'blasting', or someone offering to send your ad to hundreds of thousands of people, for relatively little.

In a word

Don't!

I have lost enough in these scams, to prove that you don't have to.

A wise man once said,

"If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is...."

There is enough information to keep you in leads for years to come.

Internet marketing doesn't need to be expensive, but it needs to be smart. I have given you the benefit of my experience so that anything that you do spend, can be well spent.

In my final message tomorrow, I'll give you the run down on some of the programs that I promote, that do well for me. I use all of the techniques that I have passed on to you myself, very successfully, and if you apply the same techniques, not only will your on-line business run more efficiently, it will run profitably as well.
