bounce backs

I would like to thank Dave Bennett for being kind enough to let me reproduce this article that he put together.

This technique is very powerful, but in my view, it should not be used solely to try and illicit sales. These will come. Build relationships with people, and your business will become strong. That's really what my site is all about!

Making Bounce Backs a Positive Force

Firstly, we have to take a moment to recognize that this internet marketing business is about people. Throughout this article, you will gain an insight into how people think, act and react. Understanding this will open your path to greater success in your net presence.

Lets ensure that we all understand what bounce back ads are.

A Short Story (more truth than fiction)

Once upon a time there was an internet marketer that just joined "Hot, New, Make A Fortune Overnight" program. In a welcoming email; he was advised that all he had to do was, Send Out the enclosed Ad by email to safelists and classified ads then sit back and reap the rewards. Arriving home from work the following day, our net marketer rushes to his computer and with great anticipation goes to his email program. After all, I did send out the Ads and this is the internet.....Right?

He is greeted with the message....You have 9 New Messages. Only 9,

oh well that's at least better than none. Two, he deletes quickly, one is from a friend from work, another from an acquaintance .... that leaves five and they all say

- Re: Hot, New, Make A Fortune Overnight..

{CLICK} he opens first one and someone has written,

Hi! Read your ad, looks like a great opportunity for me to look at once my program slows down a little bit. I would sure like to tell you about this program.............

That's a bounce back.

That's a little depressing, he sent me his own ad. Oh well...{delete}!

Next one.....{Click}!

Hi, Saw your ad. Program looks great. Might want to add it to what I am doing now. Take a look and see if you think they will run well together. I will get back to you.

Another bounce back....{delete}!

Enough said. Five replies and five bounce backs. That is depressing!

All those emails he sent and all he got back was five people who all said, I don't care about what you have to say. I want you to listen to ME!

Unfortunately, it happens all the time in our everyday lives, that others feel that what they have to say is far more important that what you want to discuss. What makes us think that the internet should be any different?

The five people that sent the bounce back ads will likely never develop any real relationships on the internet. Nor will they ever likely sponsor that person into their program. Now that we know what bounce back ads are, is there another way that will make them effective? Funny that you should ask, as this is what we will deal with next.

However, before doing that, we need to clarify one more thing. I am sure that at some time each of us has been advised "Send your ad to everybody that sends you an ad" What is happening is that we are duplicating failure.

Invariably, when we get bounce backs we delete, delete, delete.

I am going to recommend that you don't delete them any longer as each one can be developed into a powerful force, every single one. Remember, at the beginning of this article we established that this is a people business. What we need to be doing is to establish dialog with someone, develop a relationship with that person, then sponsor (never recruit) him or her.

When you receive a bounce back to an ad you sent, visit their website. Take some notes on the compensation plan, how much it costs to join, their products and services. What is the general appearance of the web site and is there any personal information about this person. Once this is done you are going to send them an email.

In this email you are going to ask two or three questions. They could be something like, A cost of $100.00 to sign up seems a little high. I am just wondering how you address this objection?

I see also that you are marketing electronics. Do you find that is a good area to market today? What are the advantages of marketing these products? Then - Hit {SEND}!

Don't ramble on. Ask a couple of questions What is the result?

They are going to respond with answers to your questions, right?

RIGHT!

Now you are going to respond to what they sent you. Read their response and generally agree with the answers which they have supplied to your questions. This is where it gets interesting because now you want to "sneak" in what you are doing.

When you do this, remember to make it light and non confrontational as you want them to respond. Thank them for the immediate reply, agree in whole or in part with their response then add something like: I just wanted also to let you know I am working with a company in a program that teaches you to be successful on the Net It is a training program and one of the things we have learned is that a product or service must have mass appeal if you are going to market it and become profitable.

Remember, end by asking a question, maybe how long have you been marketing on the net or what in their experience, is important to become a successful net marketer. This should bring a response and likely more personal.

{SEND}

Just a little feedback, no name, no URL. You have now started a dialog.

When they respond to this email, now is the time to start putting a little bit more focus on what you are doing. Possibly by asking, what do they know about multilevel marketing, what can they teach you.

{SEND}

The purpose of this email is to get them talking about themselves, their goals, experience and dreams. What you have been doing is gradually shifted the discussion from any specific program to a general dialog. In your return email you want to pose the following very powerful question.

"Would you be personally offended if I could help you make more money in your program?"

and {SEND}

When you get their responding email asking you how you can help them make more money with their program.

..

I hope nobody says, "what do I say next?"

Just in case you do need help, focus on telling them what you, as a responsible person building a business, and who cares about their organization will do to help them be successful.

Now you have started a relationship. Keep it growing.

All From A Bounce Back!

PART 2 of Making Bounce Backs, A Positive Force

In Part 2 we are going to explore how to create Bounce Back Ads and again turn them into a Positive Force for ourselves.

How do you create Bounce Back Ads?

Advertise for them!

Send out ads seeking new programs.

Remember that human trait we discussed, I want you to know what I am doing because that is important to ME! You will get a bunch of people who just cannot wait to let you know about their opportunity.

Your ad might be something like:

Seeking Your Advice or I Need Your Assistance

Reasonably experienced internet marketer seeking new program. Prefer health products or high tech services.

(my email address)

This is not misleading, because as an internet marketing business person, I am always watching to see what is new out there. Of course if there are good new products, I want to get involved so why wouldn't I advertise for them.

When the emails start coming in saying, " Saw your Ad Take a look at MY program.

Take a deep breath and remember what we learned about responding to Bounce Back Ads! You want to do it correctly.

Review Time

Go to the responders site. Make notes. What is the compensation, What is the cost to join, information is vital. Is there any information about themselves that you can use later.

Send an email. Ask specific questions about their program so they will respond with more information. Most importantly, Do Not, make any mention of your program. Await their response.

Send another email. Thank them for their response and possibly comment on some part. Ask them about themselves. Remember it is human nature to talk about me. Most importantly, sneak in a little something about your program (Do Not Sell It) Try to end with a question that will get a response and maybe tell you more about their knowledge level.

In this email based upon what you have learned, tailor your response accordingly.

If you are not sure how to proceed, then tell them you still need some time to digest their information. Maybe tell them a little about yourself. Do not try to sell your program, just keep the communication going.

You are corresponding with an experienced person. Complement them on their knowledge and that you are looking for people with their level of expertise. Tell them the name of your program. What you do and that you would like to share more information with them.

They are not really experienced.

Suggest that they appear to be most concerned, and truly committed to working with and building an internet organization. Remember our powerful question?

"Would you be personally offended if I could help you make more money in your program?"

The bottom line to Making Bounce Back Ads a Powerful Force in your marketing is to RESPOND and Not Just DELETE.

Communicate, do not just Sell.

Good things will happen.
