Receiving Free RSS Feeds To Your Desktop
To fully utilise RSS feeds, you need to be able to receive and interpret
them. To do this, you need a Feed
Reader. Following this link will take you to a web site from which
you can download a free Feed Reader. This tutorial focuses on adding a
link for the reader to feed from.
It is assumed that you have downloaded and installed the Feed Reader.

Start the program. You should see a dialog similar
to that shown below.

To add a feed, click on the 'New Feed'
button.

This will bring up a new dialog, into which you will paste the feed url that the supplier
of the feed will have given you.
After pasting the feed URL.

Click on the <Next> button.
You will see the following
Type in a name for the feed, and click on the <Finish>
button. |

If at a later stage, you want to edit the details for this feed,
then, locate the feed in the program dialog, right click, and a drop
down will appear.
Click on the 'Feed Properties'
option, and edit the details. |

Your feed will be updated and the information will be listed in
the right hand pane for you to view, under the Date and Headline headings.

You can refresh the feeds by clicking on the 'Update'
button.
