Adding Messages to Your List Wonder Autoresponder

From the Autoresponder configuration screen, click on the <Online Message Manager> button.

You will be taken to the Message Manager dialog, which looks like this :-

Take your time and read this carefully, There is a lot of information here.

The first message that you setup is the message that is sent immediately when the Autoresponder is hit. You can then set a delay before the second message is sent out, via the 'Send this message' field.

Note that the variable [FIRSTNAME] has been used in the example. This is one of the great capabilities of this Autoresponder, in that wherever the variable is encountered, List Wonder will insert the prospects first name from its database. Personalisation is a HUGE benefit, and will greatly increase the chances of maintaining a profitable list.

One thing that you should be careful of is when you are typing your message, remember to hit the <Enter> key at the end of each line. The reason for this is that although the Autoresponder appears to wrap the lines as you type, no carriage returns are being added, and when you send the message, the lines will be very long.

Tip

Keep your subject lines short, certainly no longer then you can see in the subject line. It is a good subject line that will get the email opened, and if the prospect cannot see the whole line, then what they cannot see is wasted

To save your messages, scroll down to the bottom of the screen

and click on the <Update Messages> button.

Tip

List Wonder has a facility for sending your self the messages that you have entered. Look at the top of the screen again

and read the final paragraph. Click on the 'Click Here' link, and you will receive your messages. Review your messages critically, and make sure that they are grammatically correct and free of spelling errors. Try and make sure that the messages are formatted nicely too.
